First it is my pleasure to present:

The Bird Wheel a group of passionate women cyclists who all have their own focus: from building world class custom frames, fashionable cycling apparel, local bikes shops, to public policy advocates that make cycling safer for everyone.

This is a story of simplicity and passion between two beautiful creatures.

We aim to reach beyond cycle chic and present inspiring stories, useful reviews of female specific products and moments of bike zen. Share the things you love. Now check it out

It’s Bike Month in NYC and things are heating up! This Sunday we’ll be at the Brooklyn Bike Jumble

with samples and taking pre-orders for individual and small wholesale for the Summer 2010 collection. Come see the clothes in person and let me know what you think! Orders taken at the Jumble will be delivered the first week of June 2010 or can be expedited for a rush fee.

The jumble is a super awesome Brooklyn Bicycle Swap meet, so we’ll also have some used bike parts and accessories along with the fashion fancy-ness.

With Bike Month NYC just around the corner there’s a ton of things to look forward to:

Style Ride NYC, the long awaited New York version of the super fun event we did in San Francisco last fall with Pushbike SF. Right now we’re looking for new retail relationships before announcing details (soon!)

It’s not a race and it’s up to you what you want to wear or the bike you want to ride. With Prizes!

Here are the categories:

  • Most (male & female) Fashionable Cyclist
  • Best Clothing & Bike combo
  • Most Stylish Couple
  • Best Accessorized

plus we usually make up some categories when people show up in completely amazing costumes, riding insanely adorable bikes with everything from kids to pets along for the ride.

Enjoy a leisurely and stylish ride through town with a small after party and awards.
